Jonea’ Anderson is not a stranger to working hard. Working through the COVID-19 pandemic takes courage, organization and perseverance. Ms. Anderson has this in spades.

This mother of a four-year-old boy has been working in the medical field for several years now, initially working in the dietary area before earning her STNA/PCA through ResCare and Great Oaks Healthcare Professional Academy. Since earning her credentials, she’s been working at Mercy West Hospital. Ms. Anderson just recently accepted another position at Cincinnati Children’s’ Hospital Medical Center where she will be working in the Psych Department at their North College Hill location. She began her college career with the help of ResCare. We connected her with the Education Opportunity Center at Cincinnati State because she has her sights set on being a doctor. And as hard as Ms. Anderson works, there is no reason to think she will not get there.

When Ms. Anderson was asked about her feelings regarding working on the front lines during this time, she stated “Since I’m a mother, I worry less about going out and doing my job. However, this pandemic has made me more aware of my responsibility when it comes to going to work (and coming home) and making sure I’m doing the things necessary to protect people I engage. I haven’t seen a lot of patients afflicted with the virus yet, but I know that this could change soon.”

Stay safe, Ms. Anderson…and THANKS!
